Low FODMAP Red Wine Vinaigrette
Looking for a low fodmap salad dressing? Well, there aren’t any! Sorry to say so. I spent about 20 minutes in the dressing isle of Meijer one day to learn that there are basically no safe dressings for those on low fodmap. If you know of one, please tell me! I end up using oil and vinegar but it’s getting old. So, here is a recipe I made up recently and I really like it!
1 T. olive oil (try garlic-infused olive oil)
3 T. Red Wine Vinegar
1 – 2 t. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. black pepper
1/4 t. dried basil
1/4 t. dried oregano
1/4 t. dried parsley
Pour ingredients into a small tupperware, put lid on, shake a lot! You really can use any combo of herbs you like, and feel free to play with the salt and sugar to match your tastes.
I also love to just add some aged balsamic or flavor-infused balsamic to my salads. You don’t need much to make it really delicious!
