Banana Pepper Success!

It was a huge success!  I did the recipe as shows but made some adaptions.

1/2 loaf Sourdough Bread
2 T. Herbed butter

Cut sourdough bread into 1/2 inch slices.  Brush with *herbed butter.  Place into *toaster.
*Herbed butter:  mine had oregano, basil, parsley, and parmesean cheese in it
*Toaster:  I first tried toasting them in the oven and I forgot about them and burnt them, so I recommend using the toaster instead.  I did that the second time and it worked much better.

5 banana peppers, de-seeded, de-membraned, and roughly chopped
2 onions, chopped
(no garlic)
1/2 t. dried oregano
1 t. honey
olive oil
salt & pepper
Grandma’s Sauce
Mozzerella Cheese

Toss together all ingredients and put into a Corningware dish that fits.  Roast at 425-450 for 20-30 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes with a wooden spoon.

Brush some of grandma’s sauce on each slice of bread, top with roasted veggies, top with mozz. cheese and place under the boiler for 3 minutes to melt the cheese.  Yum!
